Watercolors + Butterflies = Wildflower Wreath Magic with Bruna
I wanted to make a wreath for this project, but I wanted it to be differentówithout flowers. I chose the photo first and felt it went well with butterflies, so I picked the "Wildflower" collection, with its beautiful butterflies, to play with.
I die-cut some white butterflies to add volume and texture to the project. Then, using a plate, I lightly traced two slightly offset circles onto white paper with a pencil and colored them with watercolors to serve as the base for my wreath. I added plenty of watercolor splatters in the same colors as the butterflies.
After that, while waiting for the paint to dry, I cut out the butterflies and other stickers; then it was just a matter of assembling themólayering a colorful butterfly over a white one. I added pearl hearts and enamel dots for decoration and to tie the design together. Since there was already a lot of white in the project, I trimmed the white paper slightly on all four sides to fit in a blue border, and I thought it really made it pop!
I loved the final result (I adore the Wildflower collection) and I hope you feel inspired to create some unique wreaths of your own!
