Traci - Island Time
Sometimes I don’t know what to do with the “travel” part of my vacation photos since they’re not the main event, but this sketch was perfect for rounding up all those excited snapshots you take before you get on the plane! I used the Island Time collection for this page of our departure to Cancun, replacing some of the photos with journal cards!
Becky - Weekender
As soon as I saw this sketch from Traci I knew I wanted to use it to document the food from our recent Rome trip and the perfect collection to use was Weekender and the Good Eats add on. I machine stitched a grid to place my photos into and backed each one onto the green camera paper. I decided to make two of the photos long and narrow to change the sketch up a bit. That’s what I love about sketches, they are such a great starting point but you don’t have to stick to them strictly if you don’t want to! So I also changed where my embellishments went and changed one of the photos for a journalling card which I cut down and then hinged to add some hidden journalling and a photo under. I am using the leaves of one of the flower clusters to hold this card shut. I finished off my layout with some Nuvo Drops and gold splatters and love how this one turned out!
Theresa - Amber Glow + Jack & Skelly
Oooh I love a good grid! I decided in the spirit of fall to use this sketch as a basis for my first layout in my 2025 October Daily album! The collections I am using for these pages are Amber Glow and Jack & Skelly, the perfect blend of fall and Halloween - Falloween! Now, my album is 7x8.25, so this meant adapting the sketch, and that also meant adjusting the layout of my squares on the layout. My layout is more horizontal with six squares on each of the two pages. The sketch called for stitching, which also didn’t quite work on this layout, so I ditched it but then borrowed it to create the stitching on some of the squares. Also as a nod to the framing created by the stitching, I added frames from Jack & Skelly to my photos. The other big difference on my page is the title: the sketch calls for a center title prominently placed in the center with journaling underneath. I turned the title on its side and still placed it in the center. For my journaling I used two of the squares to journal about our family and to welcome October in.
Since this page is a flip-out, the cover of the flip-out is a very simple October calendar I borrowed from Canva, backed with a patterned paper from Jack & Skelly, and I have added just a few cute embellishments for the page!
I hope you have fun crafting with this sketch!
Shayla - Bountiful
A grid layout might be my favourite style to work with. This sketch would be great to showcase all photos, but I love using the squares to create clusters and mix in cropped journal cards. I chose to scrapbook a collage of photos from a weekend visit with family. To keep the layout looking cohesive, I limited my main colour choices to green, orange, and yellow with minimal other colours present in the embellishments.
Bruna - Wander & Wonder, Summer Camp & Weekender
This sketch was so fun! I love a grid layout. I’ve used the Wander & Wonder collection for this project of my trip to Bend in 2023 and stamps mimicking some stitching. I’ve used some stickers from Summer Camp too. The alphabets are from my stash, but all Traci’s collections have amazing alphabets to choose from.

When I saw this sketch, I knew I wanted to do document my journey with getting back into reading. Traci’s Bookish kit was perfect. I did not have photos, just images of the books I have read and the one still on the list to be read. My page was focused on the journaling to show my struggle with getting back into reading and celebrating each moment that I am done with a book. I purposely used smaller elements, especially word bits to tell the story. I love how it turned out.
