Designing the Perfect Minimalist Album Cover with Tracie
Hi, Tracie here! If you follow me on instagram, you’ll know two things about me, I’m pretty minimalist and I love to travel!
Recently, I’ve been working on my album for the road trip I took with my daughter and her roommate last summer. I was completely stumped on what to do for the cover. That is, until I saw Traci’s beautiful new kit! It was perfect since the girls’ ultimate destination was a country concert.
So, come build my cover with me!
I usually go with a plain white background for my covers, but I just loved the texture in this paper from the kit, so I made it my base…
Next I added my title words. I had so much trouble picking the colors from all of the different choices in the kit! I eventually settled on Sky and Sunshine…
Once I get my title in place, I like to build up from the background, so I added some paint and the stars scatter…
After seeing it in the kit, I just knew I had to use that denim pocket, so I placed it on the left and filled it with flowers…
Then, to balance out the right side, I added some embellishments and the date.
And here’s the final product…
I just love how it turned out and can’t wait to print my album now!
