Color Challenge: Only The Red & Pinks, Please!
Since it’s the month of love, we typically see red and pinks especially for the Valentine’s Day holiday. There is a reasoning behind why we have reds and pinks for Valentine’s Day. It is linked to history, mythology and the meaning behind colors itself. For example, in Greek mythology, red roses is believed to be the flower of Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty, representing love and beauty. Pink is seen as a softer color representing love and beauty but for the youth and purity of it.
I chose to do my page with reds and pinks using Traci’s Smitten kit. The colors matched my photo perfectly. Since I was focusing on two colors, I created a simpler page than I would normally do. Here is my page below.
I hope you will try this out as a great technique to use for your February and Valentine’s Day pages.
