Decorate your Home with this Printable Banner Project from Vanessa!
Digital scrapbook collections offer so many options to create fun home décor items. For the project today I am using the new Plot Twist collection to create a fun banner to hang in my scrapbook room. The plot twist collection may be about documenting the not so fun or unexpected turns that life can take but it has lots of elements within the kit to use to create fun home décor projects.
To start I printed the light blue grid paper and using a banner cut file on my electronic die cutting machine I cut my banner. Next, I printed from the digital kit letters in the Navy alpha to spell the word “create” as well as the blue tone on tone pinwheels from the digital embellishments.
With the banners cut I sprinkled some ink onto the banners to add some sparkle and placed some yarn through the holes. To the pin wheels I bent up the edges all around each circle to add some dimension. In the center of the pin wheel, I added my letters. The letters were layered together 4 times to add height before gluing the letters to the centers of the pin wheels.
With the pin wheels complete I glued them in the center of each banner to create my title. The bending of the pin wheels add depth and dimension to the banner.
To finish off the banners I added some additional sparkle with some sequins in several shades of blue. The finished banner is a fun and sparkly new addition to my scrap room décor using my favorite colors. I hope this quick and easy home décor project has inspired you to grab a digital collection and create your own scrap room banner.
