For the 47th edition of Mix It Up Monday, we’re combining Story Foundations: Golden Days with Equinox to make the ultimate fall mashup! If you’ve been busy this summer, this combination is for you!

I love seeing how mixing collections creates something completely new!

Autumn collections are beautiful and cozy! Golden Days and Equinox complement each other with traditional fall colors, as well as shades of blue that offer a refreshing twist.
The striped paper from Equinox is one of my favorites, so I chose it as a base and paired it with other papers in shades of blue. I selected flowers and elements from both collections to create three clusters, and the Golden Days card matched my photo perfectly!

My first thought when I opened both kits to create was “Traci, did you just make one big continuous collection?” Seriously. They go together just that seamlessly. I chose to layer the sticker florals from Equinox together for my clusters and sprinkled in other elements from both kits. My background papers are a mix from both kits and so are the alphas for my titles. Every item I chose blended beautifully with the rest, I didn’t have to be choosy with my colour palette even once! If you don’t own both of these collections, what are you waiting for?

The colors in the Golden Days and Equinox collections go beautifully together.
For my layout I combined the woodgrain paper from the Equinox collection with the plaid and mixed media elements from Golden Days.
From there I used paper and ephemera from both collections to complete the page.
The finished layout is fun and colorful.
Perfect to document the fall decor and purchases during a shopping trip.

Oh what a beautiful pairing the new collection GOLDEN DAYS and Equinox is!
These two compliment each other so well that as I look over my own project I’ve already forgotten which papers belong to which collection!!! And both include wood grain … my favourite!!!!
I really enjoy the softness of the Equinox embellishments layered with the slightly bolder Golden Days florals and leaves.
The palettes work perfectly and I wanted to be sure to bring in shades from each by bringing in a pattern with multiple colours from each collection. Perfect!
