It's time to Celebrate The Equinox!
It’s officially fall! The Autumn Equinox is that little handoff between summer and autumn, and that in-between feeling is exactly what inspired the Equinox collection. It’s fall, but not the super-dark, super-rustic version of fall. Instead, Equinox has a fresh, airy feel with sky blue, sunflower yellow, pumpkin orange, blush pink, and timeless navy.
With sunflowers, bumblebees, leaves, pumpkins, and plenty of seasonal details, Equinox is perfect for those early fall days when it still feels a little bit like summer outside. It’s a collection for changing leaves, sunny afternoons, trips to the farmers market, back-to-school season, and all those little signs that the seasons are shifting. And because the color palette is a little unexpected for fall, it works beautifully for all kinds of everyday stories, too.
And today, on the Autumn Equinox itself, the entire Equinox collection is part of Sweet Steals! So if you’ve had your eye on this one, today is a pretty perfect day to grab it and start documenting all those early-fall stories.

Summer, don't let the door hit you on the way out! I’m more than ready for the cooler temperatures of fall in Northwest Florida, so it was with much happiness that I went back into my fall photos for 2025. I found these photos of my sweet cat Holly Belle enjoying hanging out in the window sill, taking in all of the wonderful sights, sounds, and smells of lower temperatures. The photos show a bit of my fall decorations as well.
Equinox is fall-ish without going all the way fall, because I’ll be honest, sometimes summer just doesn't know when to leave the party! The sunshine is still showing off and there are still large swathes of green everywhere, and yet there's that first little whisper of autumn in the air. Equinox embraces those days when I’m wearing flip flops in the afternoon but find me reaching for a cozy cardigan when the sun goes down.
Just like the seasonal transition Equinox celebrates, the collection also includes the word art and journaling pieces that helped me tell the story of my sweet Holly Belle. When I took these photos, I didn’t know it would be the last fall she would share with us. I pulled my title from the largest journal block “holding on to the memories.” Holly Belle was such a huge part of our lives for a little over fifteen years, and while I am so sad about losing her, this collection helped me remember her sweet little ways and all the fun times we had with her.
If you’re scrapping about late summer adventures, first hints of fall, or just the everyday moments that happen while Mother Nature is changing her mind, then Equinox is the perfect collection to help you scrap all those memories!

For this Sweet Steals project, I worked with the Equinox collection to document our first full fall season in our new home in 2017. I had nine photos I wanted to include, so I started with a PageMaps sketch that gave me plenty of room for photos while still leaving space to play with all those beautiful fall papers and embellishments.
I loved mixing the warm florals, plaids and smaller patterns across the spread, and used the large floral paper to help connect the two pages. For my title, I pulled the “Fall Fun” graphic from one of the sticker banners, enlarged it, printed and cut it, and then added hand stitching right onto the letters for extra texture and dimension. I love finding ways to look at the smaller elements in a digital collection differently — sometimes a tiny graphic can become a major feature on the page simply by changing the scale.
I carried more stitching across the layout and finished everything with layered florals, hearts and a few smaller embellishment clusters. With nine photos and plenty of pattern, I didn’t feel like the page needed a lot more. The Equinox collection gave me just the right mix of colors and icons to capture those early fall days in our new home — football, family, changing leaves and all the little pieces of that season of life.
The process video for this layout will premiere Thursday at 8:00 a.m. CT on my YouTube channel. You can visit my channel here and subscribe so you don't miss it! I hope you'll stop by and scrap with me!

Soooo, have you ever finished a project, photographed it, submitted the photos, cleaned up your crafting space, and then, noticed a typo? Or in my case, a stamp-o? haha. Well, that’s what happened here! A few hours after I finished my TN pages, I realized my first page says “Jakakarta” instead of “Jakarta” yessss - I stamped wrong! Ugh and oops! Anyway, I just laughed and decided to just embrace it. After all, handmade projects tell real stories and I guess mine comes with a funny blooper too.
Typos aside, this travelers notebook now holds one of my fave memories from this year. Our family from Manila met us in Jakarta, Indonesia for a week of making memories together, and I knew I wanted to document the trip in my traveler’s notebook. While Equinox is an autumn collection, I still found it to be a good fit for this project (I love sunflowers!).
Living between countries where autumn isn’t really a season, Indonesia and the Philippines stay tropical, while Saudi Arabia gives us more of a “fake” autumn between the intense summer heat and chilly winters, I chose to look beyond the seasonal theme. Instead, I focused on what the collection truly represents: holding on to life’s golden moments.
The pretty papers, journaling cards, and embellishments were perfect for documenting our family reunion, adventures around Jakarta, and all the little memories that made our time together so special. I simply set aside the autumn sentiments and let the pretty designs help tell the story of a week filled with love, laughter, and memories worth keeping.
I hope this project inspires you to use your favorite collections in ways that reflect your own stories, because beautiful memories deserve to be documented, regardless the season.
The Autumn Equinox is the day when summer officially turns over into fall, and Equinox perfectly encapsulates that vibe with fresh, airy design featuring sky blue, sunflower yellow, pumpkin orange, blush pink, and timeless navy.
From sunflowers to bumblebees, Equinox embraces that liminal time between Summer and Autumn that seems to get longer with each passing year.
