Hello and welcome to the Thirty-Ninth edition of our fun series: Mix It Up Monday! We love to show you how easy it is to mix and match TRD collections to create something new and wonderful!

This month, we’re combining two adorably cheery Christmas collections: Make Merry & Festive! Both have off-beat, non classic color palettes with tons of pink and blue that coordinate beautifully with each other!

I’m a sucker for anything Christmas, so making this desk mini flip book was really really fun for me. Mixing and matching the Festive and Make Merry collections was such a treat as the colors play so beautifully together! For this project, I used all the journaling cards from both collections - yes, all!
Ever find yourself wanting to use every journaling card in a set, but your album doesn’t have enough tuck spots or your layout only fits one? Same here - and all the time! So, I made a cute desk mini flip book that works as a journal, a Christmas decoration, and a mini album all in one.
It’s packed with “currently” cards, lists, blank writing pages, and pretty frames as you flip through. I used disc binding so I can easily remove pages I want to write on or decorate and pop them right back in.
This tiny flip book will be cheering up my craft table all season long… as if the mountain of Christmas projects, cardstock, stickers, and ephemera wasn’t already doing the j

I had the best time mixing together the Festive collection with the newest Make Merry release, and I really mixed them up to document some recent photos of my husband and myself! These two collections came together almost seamlessly and I found myself swapping back and forth between the two to create this layout. I used Ellies and papers from both, and brought everything together with Traci’s ripped paper elements.

Make Merry and Festive work so perfectly together! I’ve printed two of each of the little houses from Festive and choose 9 of the beautiful trees from both collections (mostly from Make Merry) for my “snowing city layout”. A pompom trim to add texture and cuteness to the page, flowers and some hand stitching (love those) and my puppies are beautifully recorded.

The new Make Merry collection and the Festive collection pair together seamlessly. I adore both collections so when I started my layout, I chose to focus on the pink and blue tones.
Using a mixture of papers from both collections I created my background and matted my photo. For the embellishments again mixed the two collections and because the two collections work so well together the layout came together quickly.

These two kits worked perfectly together to create my page. I chose to go with a simple design so I could show off the paper, cards and elements from each of the kit while spotlighting my photo. It made for a joyous caffeine filled page.
