When I was looking for a way to finish this page for my December Daily, I reached back to some fun clusters I had already made in previous years for the decor on this page and it came together in a snap! The Festive collection lends such a great neutral Christmas color scheme base to any page and that pop of baby blue is perfection!

I was very inspired by the foundation pages created using Make Merry by my fellow team member Theresa and so scraplifted one of them to make one of the first pages in my December album. I had quite a few embellies left over from previously printing and cutting including some printed on glitter paper so included the pink snowflake and cut out some stars on the scraps of the glitter paper. I love how this page came together, Festive is one of my favourite Christmas collections from Traci!

As soon as I saw the wreath in the Festive collection I knew I just had to use it in my layout and tag it had to be center stage! I enlarged it placing it in the center of my page. I then decorated it with various embellishments from the collection. Charlotte was not feeling very festive and was sick of having her photo taken, so the feeling grinchy was the perfect word strip to finish off my page! This is such a great Christmas collection and Festive definitely is the perfect name for it!

Traci’s Christmas collections are so fun!
I tend to go back to last years December stories while I document my current December in my DD album to give myself a bit of a break from the right now. I’ve used our annual Christmas Day Family selfies for this page with a fun vertical design to use 2 patters in my background.
I’ve also printed some of the beautiful digital florals to embellish and love the extra it adds to my page!

I absolutely love patterned papers and tend to use them a lot, especially layered up in the backgrounds of my layouts. When I started this page with Traci’s Festive Bundle, the tree cut file immediately caught my eye. Even though I scrapbook digitally and wasn’t making a printed tree-shaped album, I knew that tree was going to make a big statement on my page.
I layered the tree on the left side of the layout, clipped patterned papers to each layer, and then had fun decorating everything with trim, word strips, ornaments, and flowers. To finish it off, I added a favorite photo of me, my husband, and our two children after Christmas Day dinner. Those silly little reindeer headbands make me smile every time. I just love how this layout captures that moment.
