Mix It Up Monday: Besties Who Brunch + Flower Child

Hello and welcome to the Thirty-Fifth edition of our fun series: Mix It Up Monday! We love to show you how easy it is to mix and match TRD collections to create something new and wonderful!

This month, we are combining the Besties Who Brunch Collection with the Flower Child collection and at first glance, these two might not feel like they go well together, but I wanted to create a challenge this month to reach into two collections that might not FEEL like they go together but actually have quite a few complimentary colors and themes (peep the strawberries in both kits!)

I love how the team approached this challenge and their layouts came out so well! Scroll on for inspiration!

I was so excited to be able to combine these two collections for this layout!  I used a mix of all the great paper patterns from both Flower Child and Besties Who Brunch.  There were so many stickers between the two collections that I had a hard time deciding what to use, so I just started with all the labels, tabs and such and started layering them behind my photo.  I added foam tape for some added dimension.  The result of combining these two collections is a fun and colorful layout!

These two collections blend together beautifully! I had brunch photos left to scrap from a trip I took last year. The colors of both collections went so well with my photos! I used a journal card from Flower Child as my base and went from there. From Flower Child I pulled stickers and from Besties Who Brunch, I pulled lots of fun embellishments. The Let’s Brunch bracelet was a perfect final touch!

Today we are playing with the new Besties Who Brunch collection and combining it with the Flower Child collection. I love how well the colors in these two collections complement each other. The pink, yellow, blues and oranges match so well together I chose to focus on those colors for my layout. Using pattern papers from both collections I created my background paper layers. For my embellishments I pulled the camera and butterflies from the Besties Who Brunch to combine with the stars, hearts and rainbows of the Flower Child collection. My title also combines the two collections. I think the page comes together seamlessly.

Both of these collections have some great flower items which inspired me to create a layout about my current landscaping journey in my rock garden. I adore the friendship bracelets so I included one from Flower Child on my layout. The cute bird stickers and butterflies from Besties Who Brunch were an excellent balancing item to all the flower power this layout has going on.
