I don’t know about you, but for me, fall is the season of home. Where I live, it’s still gorgeous weather well into November, but the nights are cold and make me want to hunker down in bed. When I decided to make a layout that captured the feeling of “home” with the Hearth & Hollow collection, I knew that was the direction I wanted to go in.

Hearth & Hollow is THE collection for for home hand family and since it features a boatload of adorable critters, it was perfect for scrapping these photos of a young Libby snuggled up in bed!

I started with a template from Studio Basic Designs as a blueprint (you know I love to demolish a template) and added the three paint pieces and sequin scatter from the digital kit to the gingham background before I printed my 12x12 paper. This added some mess-free depth to the layout before I even started layering!

Then I decided to go WILD with embellishments, using mostly leaf and floral stickers as my base and then adding on some of the folded hearts and fabric leaves from the digital kit. The “I love my pack” sentiment was perfect for these photos!

To play on the theme of home, in the top left corner I added one of the illustrated houses from the collection, as well as the embroidery hoop house AND the sentiment that says “with you I am home.” I think I drove home the point pretty well - ha!

I love how all of the embellishments on the page actually evoke a sense of homey clutter to me as well, like all your favorite knickknacks on the shelf. Hearth & Hollow is such a cozy collection that’s perfect for scrapping your cozy moments, from snuggling in bed to cooking in the kitchen, to moments with family!
