4 Foundation Page Ideas for a Gratitude or Thankful 30 Album

Hi Friends! Today I wanted to share a few ideas for foundation pages you can use in an album to document your gratitude or thankfulness!

For my first foundation page idea, I used a patterned paper for the background and printed another patterned design on vellum. I turned the vellum piece into a pocket and attached the two layers with my sewing machine to add extra texture to the page. Inside the pocket, I tucked in three tags from the sticker set along with a title from the same collection.

My second foundation page also includes a pocket, but this one has a slightly different twist. I used a 3x4 journaling card as the pocket and created a coordinating tag from patterned paper. This design would be perfect for hidden journaling! I left the back of my tag blank so it can hold a photo or provide extra space for journaling if needed.

Page 3 is one of my favorites! For this layout, I layered heart and label stickers together to create a simple but meaningful design. This page doesn’t offer a lot of space for journaling or photos, but sometimes that’s exactly what we need! I imagine using this page on days when I don’t want to write much and can simply fill in a few words or phrases on the labels to capture the feeling of the day.

Finally, the last foundation page I created is designed to hold a family photo. Of course, you can easily adapt it for any other type of photo - just switch out the title! For this page, I used another 3x4 journaling card with plenty of open space for a photo. Using my X-Acto knife, I carefully cut around the florals in the bottom right corner so a photo can tuck behind them. I also added a piece of leftover patterned paper behind the card for a bit of extra layering and texture.
