Blaze New Trails With This Beautiful Western-Inspired Collection!
There’s just something irresistible about a “girl power” kit that leans all the way in - big dreams, bold energy, and florals that refuse to play small. Trailblazer brings that spirit to life with a mix of soft, feminine details and a grounded, country-western edge that gives it a little grit. Think wildflowers with backbone, boots that have stories to tell, and pages that celebrate both strength and softness in the same breath.
And right now, it’s even better! Trailblazer is part of Sweet Steals at 50% off. Whether you’re documenting everyday bravery or the moments that pushed you to carve your own path, this collection makes it easy to tell those stories in a way that feels both beautiful and unapologetically strong.

The Trailblazer collection is a great collection to document everything from everyday to outdoor photos. The colors are perfect for spring with lots of soft colors. For my layout I documented a walk in the forest where we found some deer grazing on the side of a hill. This collection paired perfectly with my photos. I love how it turned out.

I truly love this collection and am slowly working my way through a big trip I took with my family last April so I jumped at the opportunity to share some more pages!
I’ve managed to create 3 layouts this time around - come back to the blog next month for more details - and I love that I can use this one collection to tell a myriad of stories in both pockets and 12x12 layouts. “Easter in the Pilbara” and “This is Home” are specific stories with specific photos telling 2 different stories from the same 12 hour period. On the 3rd page with the map I’ve created a pocket behind the map and added some very simple places for me to embellish - or not - when I find what I’m looking for to go into the pocket! The colours and sentiments in this collection are perfect for our Karijini trip and I’m looking forward to sharing more very soon!

This project got blown out of proportion instantly… haha! What started as a simple idea to make a cute little desk organizer quickly turned into so much more.
You know how it goes, once I start going through a collection, like this one and suddenly I want to create all the things. And before I knew it, my “one small project” turned into a full set!
So, tadaaaaa and here it is - my Paper Memories Sidekick Kit, a collection of small but useful pieces that can be my little creative companion when I do memory keeping!

The underlying western theme in this Trailblazer collection, along with its sense of adventure, made it feel like the perfect backdrop for telling the story of this fun Texas Hill Country girls weekend.
I wanted to highlight as much of the adorable paper as I could, and so I used the Traveler’s Notebook Papers to get the smaller scale for these rhomboids, which I cut on my Silhouette Cameo. I also scaled down my photos to get the story onto one page, which is one of my favorite tricks.
Floral clusters and a few travel icons were perfect embellishments for our spring getaway, and I added a little bit of texture with some scattered tone-on-tone stitching inside a few of the rhomboids. The multicolored Alphas allowed for the perfect custom title, which I cut four times and stacked to create a chipboard effect, adding a little more texture and some depth.
I absolutely love how this page turned out. Happy Trails indeed.

My daughter’s best friend lives a life that feels straight out of a story. She’s constantly traveling, modeling, and chasing new horizons, so the moment I saw this striking photo of her in a cowboy hat, I immediately knew that Trailblazer was the perfect collection to bring it to life.
I take so many photos (I mean, what scrapbooker doesn’t?), so I usually try to incorporate multiple images into my layouts. But sometimes, like in this instance, I simply don’t have additional photos from that particular day. Instead of forcing it, I leaned into the simplicity and let this one magnificent capture take center stage. The photo was already edited in black and white with a film overlay, which gave it a timeless, slightly cinematic feel right from the start.
I began by building around the image with stickers and elements, carefully placing pieces in a way that felt organic but also intentional at the same time. I distributed the word art throughout the page so it would guide the viewer’s eye without overwhelming the composition. The background papers came together near the very end of the process once the story and flow of the layout were already established.
One of my favorite design choices was creating a small cluster on the far right side of the photo, right where her finger is pointing. That detail helped anchor the composition and gave the layout a sense of direction and movement. Altogether, I formed three distinct embellishment clusters, which create a visual triangle and naturally lead the eye across the page.
Don’t be afraid to layer mixed media, embellishments, or even small paper pieces directly on top of your photo. Done thoughtfully, those touches can actually enhance the image rather than distract from it by adding depth, texture, and a bit of artistic flair that helps the photo stand out even more.
By the time everything was in place, the layout felt balanced yet full of energy, just like her. The final result really highlights her adventurous spirit, her confidence, and the sense that she’s chasing something big. It’s a page that doesn’t just showcase a photo, but tells the story of who she is and where she’s headed.
