Poolside is a perfect collection for documenting family time spent together at the pool! I backed the water splash cut file with as many of the fun and colorful papers from this collection as possible--it was hard to choose which ones to use so I tried to use them all! I added a photograph of my little minnow enjoying the pool and placed splash, bathing suit shorts, and sunscreen stickers around the photograph. I finished the layout by adding an acrylic title and 3 acrylic fish around the cut file.

The Poolside collection is my favorite summer collection. It is perfect for documenting our summer adventures and pool time fun. One of my favorite ephemera in this collection are the pool noodles. They were the perfect embellishment to use on my layout document the pool noodle wars that happen in the pool during hot summer days. If you have pool photos to document your summer adventures be sure to checkout this collection.

Last year I created four layouts with the Poolside Collection. Three layouts documented our Fourth of July celebrations in 2024, while the fourth took me back to the summer of 2019. Poolside is what I think of as quintessential Traci Reed: bright, happy colors, playful themed elements, fabulous word art, and an irresistible mix of patterned and solid papers that make documenting summer memories so much fun.
As a lifelong Florida resident, I never seem to run out of water themed photos. Whether we're splashing in the pool, spending a day at the lake, cooling off in a creek, or floating down a river, there are always plenty of memories waiting to be scrapbooked. This time, though, I reached back to 2019 and chose three photos from my daughter's trip to Big Kahuna's Water & Adventure Park in Destin, Florida. She spent the day there with a group of girls from her middle school chorus, and looking through those photos again reminded me just how exciting that adventure was through the eyes of her 13-year-old self and a disposable waterproof camera. I love how in the largest photo, you can see the oversize tiki head in the upper left hand corner, an iconic piece of this water park that’s been part of the Gulf Coast since 1986. I let those photos take center stage, and then created a ring of embellishments around the entire photo cluster with labels, word strips and word art, beach themed elements, and of course, some of Traci’s amazing floral clusters.
One of the things I love most about Traci's collections is their lasting appeal. Even years after a collection is released, the timeless designs, cheerful colors, and thoughtfully crafted embellishments make it easy to pair them with older photos and tell stories that still feel fresh. I love how this latest layout turned out. It's a wonderful reminder that great scrapbook supplies never go out of style. They simply wait for the perfect memories to bring them back to life. Grab this collection while it’s on sale this week!

Hi crafty friends!
Here’s another layout going into the scrapbook I’m slowly building for my mom. It’s my little gift in return for all the albums she made for my sister and me through the years, and the one she’s planning to make for my brother, too!
Because isn’t it always the moms who take the photos and do the memory keeping for the family? This time, I thought, why not make an album for her as well.
For this layout, I used Traci Reed Designs’ Poolside collection to document a whole lotta Apuan summertime sweetness!
I used three photos featuring three generations of our family. The first is an old photo from 1990 of my mom and dad with me and two of my sisters. Another photo features my brother, and the last one has my nieces and nephew together with another one of my sisters, who wasn’t even born yet when that first photo was taken! Both the second and third photos were taken in 2022.
I love seeing these photos together on one page. Different years, different generations, but all part of the same Apuan family story, soaking up a little summertime sweetness!
And of course, I went all out with the embellishments! I’m such a sucker for flower clusters, so there was no way I was going to stop at just a few.
And because I’m an excessive scrapbooker, the embellishments didn’t seem enough… I sprinkled on some glitter, too!
A whole lotta Apuan, Apuan kids and grandkids soaking up a little summertime sweetness!
Another family memory documented and another page ready for Mom’s album. I hope that one day, as she flips through these pages, she gets to enjoy being on the receiving end of all the memory keeping she has lovingly done for us through the years.
