Focus On: Jack & Skelly
It’s almost the best day of the year - Halloween! Today we’re spotlighting the most on-brand Halloween collection I’ve ever created - Jack & Skelly!!
Jack & Skelly is perfectly black and orange for the holiday and filled with darling retro illustrations from ghosts to pumpkins, haunted houses to skeletons! Not only that, it’s HUGE with an extra sticker pack, stamps, alphas and more!
And better yet, it’s 50-58% off for the next few days only!

For this layout, I initially was going to use the wreath die cut that is included in the Fiddle Dee Dee template Wreathed in Joy (retired). But the more I thought about it, I wanted the wreath to be spookier so I replaced it with a spider web! I used the spider web included in the Jack and Skelly kit and enlarged it until it fit in the background of my 12x12 paper. I also really love the glitter frame in the kit but it was not the correct ratio for my photo. To adjust it, I duplicated it and moved the top frame so the top of it was at the top edge of my photo. I moved the bottom frame so that the bottom edge of it lined up with the bottom edge of the photo. I erased the pieces of the frames that were then running through my photo and merged the two frames together making one frame. After that, I pretty much just followed the template. I love this collection so much! It’s a great retro Halloween kit!

The vintage vibe of Jack & Skelly was perfect for this nostalgic movie playlist I created in my October Daily! I loved the Retro Marquee letters for making the title!

I love all the fun papers that Traci designed for the Jack &Skelly collection! It really is the perfect collection for all your fall pictures. Don’t let the fun skeleton and ghosts images sway you away from the flexibility of this collection!
I used this collection to document the fun pics that my son and his wife took at a fun pop-up venue in the city. I used several of the fun journalers and the numbers, in addition to some of my favorite patterned paper, as this will be going into my October Daily album for 2025.

Jack & Skelly is perfect for documenting all those scary sweet moments in October. I love this clean and simple black and orange gingham pattern, so to get the most out of it I printed it on transparency paper, effectively getting a 2 sided, clear page. perfect for telling 2 completely different stories on 1 cohesive tag.
My first story is about my daughter's love for the treats of the season. I added a second photo under the first with a washi flip up couple of candy corn sprinkled around the page along with clusters of flowers
My second story of the day was about something my son had created. I wanted to make sure you could still see through the page so I kept the second layout identical to the first, just flipped 🙃. To make this spread a bit more masculine, I added stars instead of flowers and used my photo and title sticker as a tuck spot for my journaling tag to slip into.
