Happy World Book Day! Celebrate With a Freebie!

It’s no secret that I’m an avid reader, so when I saw World Book Day on the calendar, I knew I wanted to celebrate it! The team came up with some GORGEOUS inspiration pages to inspire YOUR love of reading - and Allie was even amazing enough to provide a free gift!

Unsurprisingly, everyone used my Ex Libris Galaxias Collection for their projects, which is perfect if you have a love of reading that’s simply magical too!

Sara

Sara is a Book Nerd! So for her project she is sharing a page in her yearly book journal. She likes to record the books she reads each year and what she thought of them. Her spread features her very favorite book-themed collection, Ex Libris Galaxias. This collection has featured prominently in each of her book journals since its release! It’s might be a bit of an older collection but its still amazing! ❤️

I got inspired to make my own circle cluster embellishments. I went with 6 circles in two different sizes and started with the sentiment strips from the stickers in the Ex Libris Galaxias collection as the face for each cluster. I picked out a few stickers to use for layering and also pulled some star shaped sequins and gold thread for texture.

After assembling a couple, I can see how fun and easy it would be to keep making embellishments! These embellishments can be used on any project from traveler's notebook layouts to 6x8s and even 12x12 layouts.

I loved the process and can't wait to make more!

For World Book Day, I created a free bookmark for you!

These bookmarks are perfect for writing in your "TBR" (Or "to be read") books, and then you can color them in as you read them!

To make them even better, I backed them with some scraps of paper I had from several other projects using Time to Thrive, but these would be EXTRA cute backed with Ex Libris Galaxias papers to keep to the book theme even more!

To finish off, I punched holes at the top and pulled through some extra ribbons I had to make a bookmark that will be pulled out of my book within 20 seconds by my toddler. Hey, I tried, right?

Also in honor of World Book Day, I finally sat down and started decorating my 2022 Bloom Where You're Planted Book Review journal! Do you recognize that cute paper on the cover? It's our very own Traci Reed Designs! Traci and I have collaborated on several book review journals , and I just love using them to record what I'm reading and what I think of the books.

The Bloom Where You're Planted one is extra special because it contains prompts from Stephanie Howell's book group/challenge! If you need a good reading challenge, check it out!

I printed some of my favorite stickers from the Ex Libris Galaxias collection on clear sticker paper and had a lot of fun decorating the title page-- I wanted to make sure I gave myself permission to "count" all forms of reading-- on my kindle, with a physical book, and audio books! And what better way to encourage myself than with fun stickers?

World Book Day celebrates that we all are readers, and I thought that these photos of me and my family shopping in a bookstore would be a perfect match. I combined the photos with Traci's Ex Libris Galaxias collection. I love the rich colors and the mix of patterns, and felt they represented the varying colors and patterns of a bookshelf in a store like this one.
