Vanessa - Besties Who Brunch

I adore the sketch month and I followed it exactly when putting my layout together. I used the Besties who Brunch collection with its beautiful colors and florals. It was perfect to document this photo of my daughter just relaxing on the patio. This sketch allowed me to showcase multiple patterns and layer them up leaving just enough white space that the layout does not feel to overwhelming. If you are looking for a quick and easy layout try this sketch it is a great one.

Ana - Story Foundations: Me Time

Here’s another memory for the (scrap)books! One of the things I love most about Sketchy Sundays is that no matter how busy life gets or how many design team projects are on my plate, it always gives me the chance to scrapbook the special moments I’ve been meaning to document. Thinking about it now, I believe I’ve scrapbooked all of my crafting events here in Saudi Arabia through Sketchy Sundays. Yay!

For this layout, used Story Foundations’ Me Time collection because it was the perfect collection for the this wonderful Me Time I was able to share with the kids. I used it to document a workshop I recently hosted here in Saudi Arabia, a day that reminded me of my years as an Ascott Host, planning activities and bringing people together through creativity. It was a meaningful experience, and I’m so grateful to Happy Sandscapes for trusting me with the opportunity, and for always being supportive of me since day 1.

I’m so happy this memory has found its place in my scrapbook. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope this layout and sketch inspires you to document those meaningful moments you’ve been putting off too!

Now that we are officially in the -ber months, I'm ready for the fall weather and for my favorite holiday...Halloween! For Sketchy Sunday, I was inspired to create a Halloween-themed layout using the Haunting collection. I love the colors and the classic Halloween designs of this collection. I started off by using stencil butter through a star stencil to create the mixed media element that I felt the sketch had. I chose several different pattern papers and layered them on top of the black paper with the white pumpkins. Did you know this collection also has cutfiles?!?! I used my Cricut machine to cut out the Boo and Eek cutfiles in plain black cardstock and chose an offset setting to cut out the orange and green pattern papers to back the cutfile with. I then completed the layout by layering up different sticker elements around the photographs!

For this week’s sketch I used Traci’s Story Foundations: Destinations to scrap some photos from a cruise hubby and I sailed last year. I replaced the stars with flowers and themed elements from the collection. I created my title by splicing together some of the titles that were available in the collection. Otherwise I followed the sketch as is.
