I loved this easy sketch so much I turned it into a two pager with the Haunting collection for my October Daily! I captured two stories of our new outdoor decor that went together and used two different color ways from the same collection to both separate the two pages AND make them flow together. For the “spiderweb” element on the left side, I used the haunted house cut file from Haunting instead. I love how these two pages look different but coordinate so you can tell they’re two stories that go together!

Tracie - Midnight Apothecary

I love to go to Disney and I love finding new products to use on my pages. The “Welcome Foolish Mortals” word art from the Midnight Apothecary was my starting point/inspiration for this page. Most of my books are 8x10, so I selected the elements from the sketch and dragged them onto my 8x10 canvas. From there I went with a two toned theme… the dark black and teal color from the ride photo. The sketch was such a great jumping off point!

Torey - Midnight Apothecary

This Sketchy Sunday layout was so fun to work with! It worked perfectly with the Midnight Apothecary collection for use in documenting some recent stamp carving I did at my local stationery store. I made only a few changes to the original design, but kept things mostly the same because this layout was just so good! I cannot wait to use this again!!

I was immediately drawn to the big spiderweb (well—I imagined it as a circular shape instead!) in the background of this sketch. It reminded me of a recent trip I took with my boys to Busselton, WA—home to the longest timber-piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere.

Naturally, we couldn’t resist walking all the way to the end… where we discovered it faces due north!

That little detail sparked an idea—I suddenly pictured a nautical compass “floating” on the page, and everything just clicked into place from there.

The compass stamp is from the “Summer Camp” collection, and everything else you see is from the “True North” collection.

I was instantly drawn to the versatility of this sketch, and it just so happened that I had a set of three photos waiting in an album for the right idea to come along! Pairing this sketch with Candy Coated Christmas was a perfect fit. I didn’t have many photos from December 2020, but this layout captures the highlights of that season beautifully.
