Planner Set Up Using the Story Foundations Collection with Torey!

Hi friends! I’m kicking off a brand new week in my planner using the Story Foundations collection, and it was such a fun one to work with! For this week, I focused on adding all the decoration first and will fill in planner as the week progresses because - let’s be honest - decorating my pages is half the reason I love planning!

First, I like to start with placing down some patterned papers or cards. Instead of cutting them with clean lines, I prefer to rip some of the edges to add a little texture and make the spread feel more relaxed and creative. I layered these ripped pieces around my weekly layout to help frame the page.

Next, I used the in the Typewriter alphas from the Everyday alphas to make a couple custom titles and headers. I used these specifically to note my habits section as well as a few appointments I have in the coming week. (I also decided to add another very last minute that says Day Off, that will be shown in the final blog post photo though!) I love using these alphas because they give you a custom look without having to worry about hand lettering everything.

And finally, the labels and word bits were the last decorative elements I used for my layout. While I used them mostly for decoration today, they’re also perfect to have on hand to highlight important spots once I start planning during my week. I layered a few with the pattern cards and scattered others throughout the spread to help balance everything out.

Using printable collections for planner setups always makes my setups quick, easy, and fun! Not only does everything work so well together in Traci's collections, there are always plenty of options to add interest without the need to overthink my layout.

Thanks for joining me today. Happy Planning, friends!
