Project Life 2026 Week Six: Is it possible to use all 4 current Story Foundations Collection Together?
Week 6 in my Project Life album came together as a really fun exercise in mixing and matching. For this spread, I pulled elements from all four Story Foundations collections and let them work together to tell the story of the week. One of the things I love about this system is how seamlessly the chapters coordinate, which makes it easy to combine pieces while still keeping the overall layout cohesive.
On the left side of the spread, I focused on documenting the everyday moments from the week. These pockets capture the smaller, quieter stories that fill the days in between bigger events. There are a mix of photos, simple journaling cards, and layered embellishments that highlight the ordinary rhythms of the week.
One detail I especially like on this side is how the cards and embellishments help guide the flow of the stories without overwhelming the photos. A mix of labels, word strips, and subtle layering keeps the pockets interesting while still letting the images do most of the storytelling. It’s a good reminder that everyday pages don’t need a lot of complexity to feel complete.
The right side of the layout shifts focus to a busy weekend where I spent time on three different “dates” with some of my favorite people. I had time with my mom, my best friend, and my husband, and I wanted those moments to feel connected even though they were separate events. To tie the stories together, I used the alpha stickers from the Plot Twists collection in three different colors to create titles for each of the “date” photos. I also used one journaling card to tell the overall story of the weekend, which helps anchor the entire side of the page.
There’s also a flip-up element on the craft date photo that opens to reveal more of the story inside. I wanted to include a little more detail about that time together without adding another full pocket to the spread, so the flip-up gave me a way to tuck the extra journaling neatly into the layout.
Inside the flip, I created two additional cards using digital mixed media and string clusters to build my own layered backgrounds. Mixing digital elements with the physical supplies is one of my favorite ways to customize a page and create something that fits the story exactly.
In the end, this spread became a great example of how flexible the Story Foundations collections are. Mixing all four chapters together made it easy to document both the everyday moments of the week and the meaningful time spent with people I love, all while keeping the design cohesive across the entire layout.
