50 Story Prompts for Documenting Togetherness in November!
November is a month for gathering, appreciating the people in our lives, and enjoying the comforts of home. As fall settles in and the year starts winding down, there are plenty of opportunities to document family traditions, favorite meals, time spent together, and the everyday moments that make this season feel familiar.
That’s the idea behind this month’s Story Foundations prompt list. November includes 50 story and photo prompts inspired by family, gratitude, seasonal traditions, and everyday life. There’s no expectation to use every prompt or document every day. Instead, think of this list as a collection of ideas you can pick and choose from throughout the month.
Some prompts focus on gathering with family and friends, while others encourage you to notice the details of daily life. You’ll find ideas for favorite foods, meaningful traditions, cozy spaces, acts of kindness, and the little things you appreciate about the people and places around you.
The goal is to help you document November beyond the big gatherings and holiday celebrations. Those occasions are worth remembering, but so are the familiar routines, shared meals, family stories, and everyday details that show what life looks like for you right now.

Hanna - “Something That Made You Laugh” using the Story Foundations: Paranormal Activities Collection
My BFF is a single mom raising a son and they really love Halloween. So when we were in lockdown in 2020, trying to keep entertained was a goal. He loves to dress up and when he spotted the blanket he wanted to be a ghost. So cute and so much fun. Sweet spooky moments indeed.
Since I was on vacation at the beginning of October I didn’t get to play with the Story Foundations Paranormal Activities I wanted to us it. I especially love the soft colors; they reminded me of these photos. It really made me laugh, so I chose this prompt for November. I love all the wordstrips so I made a border out of them and I wanted to stack the photos. Using a quote makes it feel like a journal. Adding a date and a few select ellies keep it simple and it really draws the theme home.
Karidan - “Something You’re Looking Forward to” using the Story Foundations: Golden Days Collection
Whew all the prompts for November were soooo good! I really need to save all these lists for when I am in a scrapbooking slump! Today I picked… Something you’re looking forward to because we have been looking forward to our youngest first homecoming dance for a while! I went all the way back to story foundation milestones along with September’s Golden Days to make this 2 page spread! I love how all the kits just go together so well along with covering all your basis of stories along the way! Also being a digital kit if the colors don’t exactly match it is so easy to change the hues and saturations on cards and elements to really make it all coordinate!
