Beyond the Moments: Scrapping for Yourself

If you have been scrapping for a long time like I have, you’ll notice that you have evolved into a much different scrapper than you were in the beginning. Most of us got into this hobby because we were memory keeping our lives as our children grew. As time went on and children became adults, scrapping sometimes evolves into more than just memory keeping.

I have noticed over the years that I do not scrap as often as I used to because my life is in a different phase. I’m halfway to being an empty nester with my oldest at college and my youngest about to be a HS junior. I also take less photos of them as I usually did because our lives are always busy. So, sometime, my scrapping becomes sort of a creative outlet or scrap therapy for me.

Over the past year, I have endured many changes, mostly in my professional life. I have found scrapping about this time in my life is therapeutic for me. It allows me a space to say what I need to say and give me some peace.

For those of you in whatever phase in your life, keep on scrapping. Even if you don’t take as many photos or life has slowed down. There is always something to scrap about - including the thoughts in your head.
