Creating Your Own "Sequin" Shaker Using Paper Confetti with Torey!

Hi friends! Welcome back!

Today I am sharing a layout revolving around the idea of a “sequin” shaker using the Milestones collection! While I did add sequins, something I really wanted to do for this one was print and cut some of Traci’s stickers at a smaller size so I could use them as my primary shaker element.

To do this, I started by using my Cricut to print and cut lots of stars and confetti stickers, as well as cutting an additional outline so I could make them a bit thicker.

Once everything was cut, I had two of each shape and glued them all together. This can also be achieved more quickly by using a thicker paper if you have some on hand. I did not, so I just added the thickness myself. Because I wanted this to be the primary decoration of my spread, I spent most of my time making paper sequins for this step.

Once my paper sequins were complete, I gathered the rest of the supplies needed to create the base of my spread. These included: my background paper, a Grafix transparency sheet, white cardstock, foam tape, a green sequins mix I had on hand, and a border to cover my foam tape.

I layered all of these together and adhered them with the paper sequins and sequin mix placed between the white cardstock and Grafix transparency.

Once I had the base of my layout complete, I printed my photos, a title, and two additional stickers to use for decoration. Since most of my effort went into creating the paper sequins, I really wanted those to be the focal decoration for this layout, so I used minimal decoration elsewhere.

That’s all I have to share today. I hope you also use some printable stickers to make your own paper sequins soon! Thanks for joining me!
