Tutorial: Craft Treat Boxes in Minutes!
Hi everyone!
I’m here on the blog making treat boxes! Totally suitable for any occasion, I think I might use mine as day brighteners for friends or co workers. I've made 2 sizes, this tutorial is for the smaller ones, but I'll leave the measurements to scale it up at the end.
After you have printed your paper of choice, (Story foundations Faves might be my newfavourite, Traci has used all my colours and let's not get me started on the cameras!) cut it to 5x6.5 and score as shown.
And again in the other direction.
Next make cuts into your paper as shown here:
Then you need to fold it as shown here:
Next, score in these two positions to help the top fold more easily.
Then, form the box, without adhesive and squash the top to form the top of the carton.
Open out and score the folds you made.
Now apply double sided tape or adhesive of your choice in these two positions:
Form the box into a tube and stick.
Then fold the base and stick into position.
Now you are ready to decorate!
To make the larger box, cut the paper to 7”x10.5”.
Score at 2.5”, 5” , 7.5” , 10” , then rotate, scoring at 2.5”, 5”, 6.5” and follow the instructions as before.
