Documenting the People You Love in a Heart-Shaped Mini!

It’s love season again and everything is filled with hearts and sweetness. For me, this is the perfect excuse to create projects with lots of pink, hearts and love. While browsing the new Faves collection, I loved how it allows you to document all kinds of things you love. From people, places, moments, and favorite activities. With that idea in mind, I decided to create a mini album, perfect to keep on my desk and fill with photos of the people I love most.

The steps to create this project are very simple, so let’s get started. For this mini album, I used my Cricut to cut five equal hearts measuring about 6 inches wide. I then folded four of the hearts in half, making sure the design faced inward. I glued these hearts together along the white side of the paper to create the binding. Finally, I cut the last heart in half for the front and back covers.

To add a special touch, I inked the edges to match the color of the cover.

And next, for the most fun part: decorating! Because of the type of binding, I couldn’t add as much dimension as I usually like, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying creating small embellishment clusters using the beautiful stickers from the collection. To finish the album, I closed it with a mini clothes peg, adding a sweet and charming final detail.

This mini album is a simple and lovely way to document the things we love most, and it’s also a quick project that’s enjoyable from start to finish
