Skip the Paragraph: Why List Journaling Deserves a Place on Your Next Layout
If there's one part of scrapbooking that I've always struggled with, it's the journaling.
Don't get me wrong I love memory keeping and love looking back at photos and remembering the little moments that made a day special. But when it comes time to write the story, I tend to freeze. I overthink every sentence, wondering if I'm saying enough, saying it the "right" way, or if anyone will even want to read it years from now.
That's exactly why I've fallen in love with list journaling.
Instead of trying to write the perfect paragraph, I simply start making a list. Before I know it, I've captured the heart of the memory without the pressure of being a storyteller.
Why List Journaling Works
Lists feel approachable. They don't have to be perfectly written or follow a specific format. They're simply a collection of thoughts, memories, or little details that make a moment worth remembering.
And honestly, those little details are often my favorite part of looking back through an album years later. Instead of trying to summarize an entire day, I can write down the things I don't want to forget. Listing doesn’t allow me to get discouraged when it comes to journaling and just knock it out!

Today though for this layout I went through the list that Traci so amazingly gives us each month to use! You can find it on her blog here and decided to do prompt a Place I would like to visit again!!
In this project I did use her most recent kit CareFree Days I love this kit for summer stories it is so fresh and I love making the flower clusters like I did at the bottom of this page! When I list I love using little bullets to separate each “list”and I usually will pull that out of my stamp stash! Don’t forget to pay attach to all those little stamps in your stamp sets there is usually pretty good ones to use for the bullets!
