Seven Days of No Stress December Daily Prep: Day Two!

December Daily and other daily projects like it can be…stressful. The comparison is REAL and we can get lost in trying out allll the new techniques and stress ourselves out to the max trying to “keep up” with the community. I get it. I get caught up in it too. That’s why for the next 7 days I’m going to be bringing you video each day with pages using simple techniques - no special tools required - that you can add to your album to liven up your pages WITHOUT going crazy and adding stress to your already busy and stressful holiday season.

Use these ideas as-is or as a jumping off point for more complex pages if you wish!

Today I’m going to be using the All Is Bright Collection to make 4.5 foundation pages and then 4 3x4 cards using the stickers and patterned cards!

I could not get this rainbow snowflake wreath out of my head the moment I started thinking about foundation pages with this collection! It HAD to come out first! I adhered the inked-edge snowflakes from the All Is Bright digital kit to acetate using nuvo liquid glue in a half circle and then started decorating it like I would a real wreath!

I added ornaments and a title from the stickers and then dove into my trusty stash of Cocoa Daisy glitter enamel dots to add centers to the snowflakes and some bling around the wreath.

The next idea I had was to create some standalone pocket envelopes that sat directly in the rings for a cool interactive page. I used my score board to create two envelopes, then added tags from the solid papers. I decided after they were in the rings that I needed to design something to go behind them as well, so I created a page with a central title that would peek-a-boo out from behind the tags.

The black and pink squares are placeholders for journaling or photos later and I just lightly stuck them down with adhesive so they would be easily removable.

Page three is an altered TN signature that I added a printed acetate border + pompom trim to. It’s a super easy way to customize an insert that’s already adorable! I paired it with some cute placeholder cards too!

Since I printed quite a few acetate patterns, I wanted to use them in fun ways! I love that with digital product you can print on any medium your printer will handle and create custom designs for your album! I adhered that snowflake acetate to a piece of yardstick as a pocket, stuffed it with a tag, and then added the “joy” tag from the All Is Bright Countdown Tags to the outside by tying it on to the main tag.

I also had this idea that I wanted to create a sort of semi-transparent pocket page from a 6x8 pocket, so I used my fuse tool to divide the 6x8 protector into two 3x8s, then added this acetate print to the outside 3x8 section. My idea is to add a photo to the inside pocket and just have that gorgeous acetate all on its own!

Finally, I realized I didn’t have a lot of scraps from this build, so instead I used the patterned cards to create 4 3x4 cards! The “Jolly” and “25” are both the inside cuts leftover from cutting out the All Is Bright Countdown Tags, so it was fun to re-purpose those!
