Shayla - Ex Libris Galaxias

I was inspired by Melinda’s use of mixed media in this layout. The Ex Libris Galaxias collection has several digital mixed media elements that I used layered together to create my background. I added tags and the library checkout out pocket to imitate Melinda’s use of tags on her original. The sticky note journal tag is adorable so I made sure to use it for telling my story about re-discovering the library these past two years. My final touch was layering the gold starbursts around my central photo cluster.

Ruth - True North

This was such a fun challenge! Melinda has so many cool layouts it was hard to choose which one to lift. This 2 photo page worked perfectly for my travellers notebook. I've used the TRD True North collection, and stuck reasonably closely to the original design (not a lot of real estate on a TN page!). I did add a tag with pull out journalling as my album is a vacation story telling.

Michele - The Love List

I love the clean, linear design of Melinda’s layout. Although hers is a planner page, it immediately made me envision a layout for my niece’s birthday. The playful pop of embellishments along the left side really draws the eye in, and I hoped to capture that same effect in my own page.

Ophie - Grit & Grace

I picked this layout by Melinda because it has a colorful background with the photos, papers and ellies mostly at the upper half of the page. Compared to what I typically scrap, this page is simpler. I changed it up a bit and focused on one photo rather than three but still lifted how she designed her page. Overall, I love how my page turned out!
