Scraplift Saturday - Hybrid Team Member Nicole B.
Hey, Hey! It's Scraplift Saturday and today the TRD team has the honor of scrap lifting the amazing Nicole, AKA @coliebing! Nicole has an amazing classic paper-pieced style with a love of pattern paper and the perfect sense of embellishing, so her gallery was so easy to lift!

Bruna - Our Story Matters
This layout by Nicole with a lot of patterned paper and hand stitching details was so beautiful that I needed to scraplift it. And I wanted bright and bold colors so I chose the Our Story Matters collection, one of my all time favorites from Traci, to register my daughter¥s graduation day.

Ronelia - Poolside
As I was looking through Nicole’s projects I loved how striking and simple this layout was AND I realised I could use the Poolside paper teaser image to recreate this look without cutting out any strips. The strips you see in my layout are from the Poolside Collection preview image and I printed it out just as is. All I had to do was cut the strips into flags and the hardest part of the layout was done!

Vanessa - Our Story Matters
Nicole has so many amazing layouts it was very hard to choose which one to scrap lift. Going through Nicole’s Instagram I found this layout using hexagons and was immediately inspired to create. Instead of punching hexagons like Nicole did I used a cut file and backed the hexagons with different pattern papers from the Our Story Matters collection. I love the bright colors and fun embellishments in this collection. I decorated some of the hexagons like Nicole did and I love how this layout came together.

Celia - Jack & Skelly
I love that Nicole's style uses a lot of patterns to create striking pages so I decided to use this as my inspiration to get a page in my '24 October Daily using the Jack & Skelly collection.
I also love that her page featured turn on tone embellishing, so I did my best to keep my black embellishments in the black sections and orange and embellishments in the orange section.
Another element of her page that catches my eye is the sewing. I mimicked that by texturing the edges of my pattern paper to add interest without having to pull out my sewing machine.

Danica - True North
Looking through Nichole’s gallery makes you see that she does an awesome job mixing patterned papers! Almost every layout contains a fabulous mix of patterned papers. And it’s not just two or three but a lot and it’s absolutely delightful. So many times I fall in love with a paper and can’t use it because I just can’t make it work. I think Nichole can make any patterned paper work. That being said I picked this layout because I loved the overlapping diagonal strips at the bottom of it. Just another example of how you can fully utilize all those papers in the pack. The photo strips were a great way to display a few photos from an event. We had recently been on a cruise so I thought this would be a cute way to show some photos from it. The first thing I did was make a template from Nichole’s page. I usually do this for all my scraplifts. I find it easier to just clip my papers to a template. After that it was pretty easy to put together although I tend to try not to put like colored papers next to each other. I don’t know why I did this, I just do. I used Traci’s True North, and the film strips from Our Story Matters. I finished my page with some stitches from Clever Monkey Graphics called Straight Stitches. I will probably look through Nichole’s IG again when I need some inspiration.

Luly - The Manuscript
I was very inspired by Nicole’s layout with her stitching and using lots of different pattern papers with a neutral area at the top to stack lots of embellishments. In my case, I used a lot of flowers similar to Nicole at the top of my layout with 3(mostly) vertical photos in the center. To emphasize the beautiful photo of the bride & groom, I converted the other 2 photos to black & white. I think the photos really work so well with Traci’s The Manuscript collection from last year. This collection works especially well with wedding photos - so you will be seeing it again!
