Hey Hey Hey, it’s scraplift Saturday and today we are busy scraplifting one of my amazing digital team members, Danica! Danica does amazing work with paper piecing, shapes and layering and her gallery is so fun to look at and scraplift!
Traci - Anywhere But Here
Danica always has amazing use of shapes in her gallery and I love, love, loved the half circles in Danica's original layout… and they were SO easy to recreate with my 2" circle punch!
They add a great deal of interest to this layout with little effort and putting the rest together using a combination of my Anywhere But Here collection and its twin paper collection for Echo Park: Away We Go was a snap!

Leah - Wildflower
This page by Danica caught my eye due to the beautiful wreath consisting of a combination of cut files and elements. I was able to easily mimic that using Traci’s Wildflower collection. The daisy wreath was used as anchor and then I added a mixture of cut files, paper flowers, leaves, butterflies, and dimensional flowers.

Cheryl - October Mood
Danica has so many fabulous layouts that feature her sweet cats, but this one really stood out to me. Rather than use one photo and a journal card, I chose to use two photos and moved them to the left of the page. I also used a strip of paper behind my photos, but allowed the plaid paper to stretch across the page. My clusters at the top and bottom were placed in opposing corners rather than just on the right side. I added florals, leaves, and twine to add dimension.

I liked this layout with the circle, as it refers to the idea of alliance. And there is no truer alliance than the one we have with our children.

Trish - Beautiful Dreamer
I loved the simplicity of Danica's original page, and wanted to replicate that on my own. I rotated the picture area and used an oval instead of a circle to better fit my picture, but other than a few more embellishments I tried to stay pretty true to the design of her page.
