Scraplift Saturday - Danica Staples

Happy Saturday! It’s another gorgeous day to scrapliift a team member and today the team had the pleasure of lifting the incomparable Danica Staples! Danica’s been on my team for many years and is an accomplished and masterful digital scrapbooker who has a great style that’s easily transferable to paper layouts too!

Have a stroll through her gallery and find a layout to lift too!

Danica has so many amazing layouts to scrap lift and I was inspired by so many different layouts.

In the end I chose this layout with its circular design and large overflowing embellishment clusters.

For my layout I chose to use the Poolside collection and using the pattern papers I recreated my own version of the background.

I then went through my embellishments and put together two large clusters filled with ephemera to mirror the layout from Danica.

To add some texture and finish up the layout I added some pompom trim to the outside circle, and I love the result.

This layout was fun to create, and I loved taking inspiration from Danica's layout.

Noemi - Besties Who Brunch

I loved this project from Danica's gallery. My favorite part of the composition is the confetti corner made with patterned paper circles, I found this idea super fun! I used the Besties who brunch collection to make my interpretation of this layout since I think it works perfectly for a birthday project. I changed the size of my photo and made it bigger but kept the polaroid frame as the original design and the result is just amazing!

Becky - Island Time

I had so much fun choosing a layout of Danica’s to scraplift. I chose this one as it had several photos on and I had quite a few to scrap from our holiday to France. I decided to go with Island Time which is the same collection Danica used but as her layout was digital I had a great time converting the design to hybrid. I distressed the edges of all the papers to add some dimension and also added foam pads to some of the embellishments. I used the alphas from the collection to create my title and finished off the layout with some gems and Nuvo Drops from my stash. I love how this one looks and how you can definitely see the way I have lifted Danica’s layout

Bruna - Island Time

I have a more clean scrapbooking style so this design from Danica got my heart! I’ve used the Island Time Collection and it is so fun and has bold colors! I love it! And the digital kit has amazing background elements like those little grains of sand and frames to enrich and incorporate in your projects!
