Down the Middle: Creating an Asymmetrical Split Page with Bruna!
Scrapbooking is so much fun because it can be so varied and versatile. You can make 12x12 pages, 6x8 pages, TN spreads, mini-albums, and everything in between. And you can even use different materials and colors!
An interesting option when you need more space for your design, your fun supplies, or have many photos, or want to use large photos, is to make 2 pages and split them in half, a split page. I like to use this technique when I want to use a large element, and then it goes from one page to another, connecting the two. It's also a cool option when you want to make a before-and-after style page to connect the photos.
That's what I did on this TN spread! I used a base paper from Story Foundations and cut strips of colored paper from Our Story Matters to make a large rainbow that went from one page to the other, and I put a before photo on the left side and the now/after photo on the right side.
I did everything on one paper so there wouldn't be any mistakes when making the rainbow, and then I cut it in the middle.
The final product:
Here is another project with the same idea for a 6x8 mini album (this one was using Island Time collection).
I hope I’ve inspired you to do a split page, they are so cool!
