No Stress December Daily Prep 2023: Day Two

Last year, my No-Stress December Daily Prep series was SO popular, I decided to bring it back again this year! I think we all get to a point where this project and all the inspiration available can overwhelm us, so I like to create a few easy pages and projects each year that I can use as jumping off points if I wish.

Nothing stressful, no crazy tools, just some good old fashioned filler pages that can hopefully inspire your pages too!

Use these ideas as-is or as a jumping off point for more complex pages if you wish!

Welcome to Day Two of my No Stress December Daily Prep series! Today I’m using the Cocoa Daisy Let It Snow Collection Modern Memory Keeping and Traveler’s Notebook Collections to make 3 pages and a handful of cards!

My first page is a fun ornament-style spread with hanging circles, stars and photos made from scraps! You know I love using up my scraps, so this was the perfect kind of page to do that with!

In order to keep it from being too repetitive, I mixed shapes and sizes as well as added some icons both to and over the circles. For the circles and stars themselves, I used a punch on scrap paper and the patterned rectangle stickers from the Memory Keeping Sticker Kit. I also used chipboard and diecut labels and icons in addition to the patterns.

My first page is a classic flip-out page with a bonus twist of revealing a full-page pocket! I can use this page to hide long journaling or a photo collage if I like

I clipped an optional card and embellishment cluster to the outside and then wrapped the whole thing with a ribbon that I will adhere between this page and the next when I use the page!

I REALLY wanted to use the fun rub ons included in both kits, but I wasn’t sure how to do so and make the resulting page still flexible, until I decided to create an acetate divider!

The rub ons went on nicely, though I will say you have to be a bit delicate and patient - it definitely messed up in places where I went too fast! After I had all the rub ons adhered, I stapled some of the fun vellum snowflakes to the edges as well. I hope it snows this year!

The last thing I decided to do with this collection was create a bunch of layered cards. I often like to customize cards in advance to not only make them more interesting, but more my clustery, layered style as well!

Lots of layering and stamp work went into these cards and I think they’re super fun!
