I have been loving all of Traci’s Story Foundations this year - but June’s has to be my favorite! I love documenting my travel adventures and mixing Destinations with Wander & Wonder was perfect! they coordinate so perfectly that I can’t quite remember which pieces came from each kit - and that is a great plus for me! I used some of my favorite tricks for this hybrid layout -combining artsy splatters on my background paper and combining elements for layering before I print. What travel adventures do you still have to document?

Wander and Wonder is a great collection to mix with Destinations - they go so well together that when I came to write this I couldn’t remember which pieces I had picked from which collection! The stickers and papers combine perfectly and this means that if you have both collections there are so many combinations you can use and it really expands your choices for a layout. I shall definitely be creating more layouts using both of these collections.

For this Mix it up Monday layout using Wonder and Wander and the Destinations kit, I knew, OF COURSE, I wanted to document travel! My family went on a magical Disney cruise last fall, and I still have barely scrapped the photos! I loved the little cruise ship in the recent Destinations kit, so I knew I wanted to incorporate that. I used a “cut file” digitally as the title and backed some of the negative space with different patterned paper to add some fun visual interest… and of course I had to add some of the layered bits and paint from both kits! The colors and theme go so nicely between each of these kits, it was so easy to mix and match!

One of my favorite recurring blog features here at Traci Reed Designs is Mix It Up Monday (MIUM)! I love seeing how different collections can be combined to create something fresh and unique, and today's layout is a perfect example. For this page, I mixed the Wander and Wonder collection with the new Story Foundations: Destinations collection. Wander and Wonder provides the perfect foundation for documenting vacations and adventures, while Story Foundations: Destinations adds storytelling elements that make memory keeping quick and easy.
This travel-themed layout documents my trip home from a girls getaway in Las Vegas back in 2015. The two collections work beautifully together, sharing a coordinated color palette and travel inspired designs. I used patterned papers, labels, and word art from both collections to create a layered background, then added an assortment of embellishments including an airplane, boarding pass, luggage tag, camera, ticket stubs, travel icons, and colorful florals. These elements help tell the story of my journey while adding plenty of visual interest to the page.
If you haven't tried mixing Traci's collections before, I highly recommend it. Wander and Wonder and Story Foundations: Destinations complement each other perfectly and are wonderful additions to your stash for documenting vacations, weekend getaways, and all of life's adventures.
