Mix It Up Monday: Fierce + Keep Chasing Rainbows

Hello and welcome to the thirteenth edition of our fun series: Mix It Up Monday! Today we’re combining another two collections that were MEANT to go together, Fierce and Keep Chasing Rainbows! Keep Chasing Rainbows was my low-key Pride collection that I designed when my children started coming out, though it works wonderfully for regular encouraging non-pride layouts and of course, Fierce is my brand new loud and proud Pride collection!

The color palettes on both are nearly the same, with Fierce being a bolder, more saturated version of Keep Chasing Rainbows so it makes them fun and easy to mix and match!

Check out the team’s examples below and I can’t wait to see you mix these two collections up too!

Traci

Combining these two collections was super easy because I designed them to coordinate! I didn’t really go in with a plan other than to play around with these photos of my son and mix and match the two together. I used the free TN Signature with a yellow TN paper from Fierce and paired it with that blue stripe from Keep Chasing Rainbows layered with star paint from Fierce and a stamped title from Keep Chasing Rainbows. True combining of the collections ! After that I added stickers to both collections on my photos!

These two collections are made for each other.

For my project I used the papers from the Keep Chasing Rainbows collection and the embellishments from the Fierce collection.

Be an ally is important to me. I want my children to be able to be their true selves in any form. I made this page to remind me and everyone who looks into my album how important this is.

I LOVE Traci’s Mix It Up Monday challenge! So fun to get creative with two of her collections that have a similar palette etc.

Mixing the new Fierce with the classic Keep Chasing Rainbows collection was actually no challenge at all!!! These were almost made to be together!!

Both are packed full of rainbow icons, a rainbow palettes makes mixing the papers and cards super easy and the bright colours lend themselves to any positive story.

I decided to go through my story album and go for the next chronological story in need of telling. It was a rather dull full page photo of a page in my notebook … with a huge story behind it.

As the facing page was a pocket page I decided to go old school and work with some cards.

I loved pairing the ‘Choose Happy’ card from Keep Chasing Rainbows with the ‘The Only Choice I made was to be myself” card from Fierce. It almost answers the previous card so I made them into a flip up.

I wanted lots of interactivity here so included a flip out on the photo - a great way to include lots of Fierce papers.

I decided to lean heavily towards the sentiment embellishments from Keep Chasing Rainbows and they worked SO WELL with the Pride icons and rainbows of Fierce.

I just LOVED combining these two collections and have a couple of other projects planned to combine them. I definitely  recommend giving it a go to mix these two up.

I went with the rainbow theme to go with the photos I had of hot air balloons from a festival that we attend every year. The colorful array of balloons scattered in the sky matched perfectly with both the Fierce and Keep Chasing Rainbows kits.
