Focus On: Keep Chasing Rainbows

We’re ALL about the Rainbows right now over at TRD, so let’s throw it back to my OG Rainbow collection that I created a few years back called Keep Chasing Rainbows! This one is a perennial favorite with the team and every time they use it, they make magic!

Below I’ve got a few fantastic new projects using Keep Chasing Rainbows and I’ve rounded up some of my all time favorites too!

Chantal

Sometimes a little goes a long way and Chantal proves it with this darling minimalist layout using scraps from the Keep Chasing Rainbows collection!

Melinda

Melinda created not one, but three amazing cards with the Keep Chasing Rainbows collection and each one has so much great stuff to look at!

Kaye

I absolutely adore the flip up that Kaye made with one of the cards from the Keep Chasing Rainbows collection, genius!

How stinking cute is this!? In her own words:

I am always up for a good rainbow page but honestly this go around I wanted to play a little more digitally so I took the when you can’t find the sunshine be the sunshine because this is exactly how my son tackles life. So I pulled the card into photoshop and selected the bottom of the sun rays to detach it from the top of the card so I could create a flip up of my son with his face all painted! I am so thankful his teacher captured this picture of him as it was an over night camp! It will be a fun pop in his album and I love having an interactive piece every now and then in my main albums!

Becky

Becky pulled out just the blues and greens from this rainbow-hued collection to match the colorful hair in her photos - perfect! In her own words:

This is such a gorgeous collection and can be used in so many ways. I decided to concentrate mainly on the greens and blues in the collection and the first thing I did was to print various 6x4 patterned cards and then cut them into 1.5” squares. These were stuck to my page in a grid type pattern and then I used my sewing machine to adhere them more firmly, knotting the threads at the ends of each row which helped give the layout more texture. I then mounted the photo on two of the papers, a plain and a patterned one from the digital kit. I decided to have a go at printing one of the ‘paint’ embellishments onto clear sticker paper – next time I will try clear matt paper as the glossy one I have is a bit reflective. However, I stuck this to my page and I like the effect. Stickers from the digital kit and the sticker pack were added in three clusters – some added with foam pads to give dimension. I made the title using the blue alphas from the digital kit and bumped these up on foam pad and then gave them a coat of Glossy Accents to help them stand out. My layout was finished off with some Nuvo Drops in 3 different colours.

Older Favorite Projects from the Team!

This little mini album that Tara made is just divine - it’s rainbow shaped!

The scalloped rainbows on Leah’s page are the perfect touch!

The rainbow of paper strips here with the offset breaks in the line make this page a visual stunner!

Theresa’s clustering is always divine and I adore how she took my toothpick rainbow embellishments from the digital kit and turned them real!
