Adapting Icons to Fit Your Page with Melinda

Hobbies, hobbies, hobbies!! If you’re anything like me you likely collect hobbies as much as you actually do them lol

To be honest with you, for that reason, I did struggle a little with this chapter - simply because I couldn’t decide where to start!

Traci has totally smashed this collection, including so many different icons and phrases!

For this layout I decided to document my love for my Lego botanicals collection. In fact, I have another 3 sets to build that I was recently gifted for my birthday.

I love the watering can with flowers icons in this collection but am a terrible plant Mumma, so I thought this would be a fun way to use that fun icon in an unexpected way!

The other icon that I fell instantly in love with is the pixelated hearts. These make me think of Lego! So, of course, I used that as my main background paper.

Another reason I chose to document this particular hobby is because my boys love Lego; mainly now, my little one. But when they were little we spent lots of time building together. Even now, he will appear when he hears me open a new packet! Or if we both have new builds we will sit together and do our own sets. And I love any excuse to spend time with my boys!!

Since this is a page all about me and MY hobby I leaned right into the fun, bright, rainbow colours; with an extra dash of pink in the 3x4 quote card, the 3x4 journaling card and the pink photo mat!

Though I struggled when I sat down to create this page I’m so glad for the push to tell more of MY own story. Obviously, the layouts in my album are predominately from my point of view, however, they are not always about me and I think it’s important that we remember to share those pieces of ourselves!

I hope that you have enjoyed my share today and I’ll see you soon with my next project!

Melinda
