Small Gratitudes: A Simple 4x6 Mini Album to Record your Blessings
November is the perfect month to sit down and record some of the things you are grateful for. To create my project, I used the new Grit & Grace collection to make a 4x6 mini album. I kept the book small making room to record 10 things that bring me joy in this season.
To start, I printed all the 6x4 patterned papers from the collection. These papers will make up the pages of my book. For the front and back covers I used some 12x12 pattern papers and one of the 6x4 journal cards from the collection. With all my papers cut I matted each paper onto a brown cardstock from my stash. This will give the pages a bit more weight. For the front and back covers I used firm cardboard to give the album stability.
To the edges I added some distress ink in vintage photo and once the pages were glued together I added some gold splatters to each page to finish the background of the album. Once all the pages were arranged, I bound the album using my cinch machine you could also use binder rings to create the album or any other book binding tools you may have.
For the title page of the album, I used two alpha dies and two pattern papers from the collection. I layered the letters four times to give the title dimension then some florals and other embellishments to finish the cover.
To fill the album pages, I pulled embellishments from both the sticker and digital kits. I printed a few 3x4 cards from the collection to use as flip ups and cut white cardstock to act as photo mats giving me the option to add smaller photos to go with my journaling. To all the embellishments except the florals I added the vintage photo ink to the edges. This really helps pull everything together.
To finish the album, I added enamel dots throughout and a few mini paper clips. Adding these few items helped to finish off the album perfectly.
