December Daily 2023: Story Two
There’s nothing like actually getting to use the foundation pages you made in the beginning!
Story Two
Story two is all about the tree lighting we attended on the day after Thanksgiving in downtown Knoxville. We don’t go every year, but it’s fun when we do because they put on quite the show! I designed this tree mini album as part of the Festive Instagram Hop with the intention of using it for this story, so it was a nice full-circle moment!

I also had the back side of Story One’s pocket protector to incorporate, so I decided to make a title card in photoshop using the Festive Chipboard Alphas and then use the other two pockets for journal cards from the Festive collection as well. I added some glitter enamel dots from Citrus Twist to the snowflakes for a little extra texture.
To adhere the tree album itself into the 6x8 album, I decided to staple it to an acetate page so that it would “float” in the album. Because the front of the album has an acetate cover that I added Nuvo Texture paste to through one of the stencils from my Happy Holidays collection for Echo Park, I decided to so the same to the acetate in the back so it would match!
I forgot to add it on video, but I also put the number two from the Festive stickers on the cover of the album for story #2.
Filling the album in with photos was easy as I kept all the photos the same sizes (1.5x2.5”, 2.5x2.5” and 2.5x3.5”) and I jotted down where each would go as I was planning to print! All in all, this came together fairly fast thanks to pre-planning and it’s a fun addition to my album!
