Festive Chat-GPT Inspired Instagram Hop!

Hey Hey Hey! It's Festive Friday today and the TRD team is doing our ChatGPT-inspired Instagram Hop!

We asked ChatGPT to give us layout ideas for the Festive collection and it came up with some pretty inspiring (and sometimes hilarious) prompts, complete with embellishment ideas!!

Check out all the prompts and layouts below!

Traci

Tree Lighting Extravaganza: Design a tree-shaped layout that serves as the centerpiece for documenting the magical night of your city's tree lighting ceremony. Use a rich palette of red, green, mint, pink, and blue to evoke the festive spirit.

Well, I took that literally and designed a whole mini album to document our city’s tree lighting (which happens tonight! You can pick up the mini album as part of the Festive product offerings!

Poinsettia Radiance: Highlight the elegance of poinsettias in a radiant layout. Mix in the rich colors of red and green with subtle hints of mint and pink for a sophisticated look.

There is something about poinsettias that take my breath away every single Christmas so when I saw this prompt “Poinsettia Radiance” I dove straight into the collection to find ALL of them!!
I ended up being inspired to create a pair of Christmas Cards using almost only digital embellishments (that I print and cut) and some of the 4x6 patterned cards and love the way that the poinsettias really do take centre stage on each card with those subtle hints of the aqua and pink!

Cozy Cocoa Moments: Design a cozy corner with hot cocoa, cookies, and a snowman. Use warm and inviting tones of pink, blue, and mint for a delightful atmosphere.

I loved using this prompt as inspiration for capturing a new cocoa photo with my daughter, showcasing my little one’s hands. We make a delicious cup of cocoa together and then set up my camera and had a silly time taking pictures of our hands while making faces at each other.

The icon stickers from the Festive release had all the items the prompt suggested, so I was able to easily choose which pieces to print and cut out with my Cricut to create my embellishment clusters and a super fun interactive element on my title page. I also used the Festive Chipboard Alphas to create my own Hot Cocoa title. I loved having these as an option to create my own title that matched this collection perfectly!

Whimsical Stocking Display: Craft a whimsical display of stockings, each uniquely decorated. Use a blend of pink, mint, and other festive colors for a playful and vibrant touch.

I love decorating my house for Christmas and now that I officially have 2 bonus daughters - I get to hand 6 stockings this year! I love that they come over to help decorate the big tree - there are so many ornaments to hang every year!

Gifts of Joy: Dedicate a page to the joy of giving and receiving presents. Arrange photos of wrapped gifts, bows, and smiling faces against a backdrop of red, green, and other festive colors.

Hey all! Nicole here and I’m using the gorgeous Festive collection from Traci Reed Designs to make this fun page documenting our 2023 Advent calendars! I first fussy cut some presents from the stickers and used a shimmer brush to make them all shiny. Then I built my page with my pics down at the bottom and my title towards the top! I’m just loving all the beautiful colors in this kit and can’t wait to create more with it!

Evergreen Forest Magic: Feature a magical forest scene with various Christmas trees in different shapes and sizes. Incorporate a harmonious blend of red, green, mint, pink, and blue.

My prompt seemed like the perfect opportunity to create a 3D scene for my December Daily with the Festive collection! I always think of these pages as a form of story telling, so I began my story with the happy little snowman in the collection. The prompt calls for creating a magical forest scene, and of course the beautiful trees in all shapes and sizes in the collection are perfect! The trees are grounded with simple curved swaths of patterned paper that I simply printed and cut for the layout. The snowman is at the forefront as the main character, with his house and his decorated tree. I topped the whole thing off with the red star at the top, and a cute little green banner across the bottom. What a great prompt, and the Festive collection made it so super easy to complete!

Tracie

Snowflake Wonderland: Create a winter wonderland with abundant snowflakes in shades of blue and mint. Capture the beauty of the chilly season in a visually stunning composition.

I had such good intentions when starting this page… and then I went a little off script! As you may have noticed from previous IG hops, I am working on scrapping old photos, focusing on 2007. As soon as I saw my prompt, I knew I wanted to do a page with these photos for my 8x8 Christmas book. Instead of blue and mint from the prompt, I picked green and red for my main colors. The “oh what fun” card was perfect for the photos of my kids enjoying the first snowfall of the season.

Winter Botanical Elegance: Showcase the beauty of winter botanicals with wreaths, poinsettias, and subtle snowflakes. Opt for an elegant and cohesive color palette.

I just love Christmas and the feeling you get around this festive season. This newest kit of Traci captured this feeling. From the gorgeous color palette to the little cute elements and pretty patterns.

The prompt Winter Botanical Elegance is the prompt I got.

From this, I used the wreaths, poinsettias and snowflakes as my starting point. I used the blue pattern paper with snowflakes as the base for my layout. The wreath is a circle shape I just made and then mask it with one of the plain solid paper in the kit. Then I made clusters of poinsettias, flowers and other elements opposite of each other for balance. A white polka dot paper is placed in the middle of the wreath to make all the colors pop.

I hope you like my layout!

Christmas Morning Bliss: Chronicle the joy of Christmas morning with a balanced palette of red, green, mint, pink, and blue. Capture the excitement of unwrapping presents and festive moments.

Tarrah

Stockings and Surprises: Create a page dedicated to the joy of stockings, incorporating elements like presents, snowflakes, and hot cocoa. Use a balanced mix of red, green, mint, pink and blue.

As soon as I saw this prompt, I immediately thought of a stocking with presents spilling out and this is exactly what I created! I enlarged one of the stockings and then printed it out and began to add presents and candy canes coming out the top! I did not add so many snowflakes and hot cocoa elements as it is not cold at Christmas time where I live. I wanted to add a couple of small photos so decided on a filmstrip of photos of my nieces opening presents from last Christmas!

Magical Holiday Collage : Create a collage-style layout that combines all the elements in a visually captivating way. Use a mix of colors to tie everything together seamlessly for a magical and cohesive collection

I created this heart shaped collage in Canva to tell the story of our past Christmas Eve selfies. I then printed the photos and added different layering papers and textures. This will be Story 5 in my December Daily album this year. I love how the prompt inspired me to create a collage because I was able to add five photos, lots of papers from the kit, and a journaling card, without the layout looking too cluttered.

Snowman Adventures: Document the whimsical adventures of building a snowman, surrounded by colorful accessories. Create a cheerful scene with pops of red, green, and blue.

Using "Snowman Adventures" as my jumping off point, I grabbed my Ellies that reminded me of being bundled up in the snow, along with a snowy village patterned 6x4 card. To really showcase the snowman and bunting pieces I used vellum as my background paper for one of my cards.
