Creating an Interactive Hidden Photo Page with Bruna
For this project, I created a double 6x8 layout with a fun twist—lots of photos, but in an interactive and playful format!
I started by cutting several circles from patterned papers, mixing different colors and designs to keep things visually interesting. I also selected four photos from our trip, and instead of placing them all directly on the page, I decided to hide a couple behind the patterned circles.
I attached those circles with brads so they can swivel open to reveal the hidden photos underneath. It’s a great way to include more pictures without overwhelming the design.
Once I had the interactive pieces figured out, I focused on balancing the layout by choosing coordinating colors and embellishments.
On the second page, I added some journaling spots and popped up the adorable rainbow die-cuts using foam tape for added dimension.
I love how the finished spread feels clean and simple at first glance—but when you start flipping those circles, you uncover all the extra memories I wanted to include. It adds a fun, hands-on experience to the layout and helps tell the full story.
I hope this inspires you to try adding interactive elements to your next project. They're such a fun way to make your albums more dynamic and personal!
