Vanessa - Wander & Wonder
Sketches make creating a layout so quick and easy and this sketch today is perfect if you have scraps you want to use up or pattern papers you want to showcase. The strips of paper creating thebackground make this page come together so quickly and I love the mulitple simple clusters scattered thoughout the layout. I use the Wander and Wonder for my collection to document some travel photos. I love that I was able to use scraps from my pattern papers and lots of the amazing florals from this collection. The whole layout came together quickly and I love the results.
Caroline - Story Foundations: Faves
I chose to work with the February FAVES collection for this sketch as I really wanted to lean into the love vibes for this story.
As soon as I saw those columns of paper I knew I wanted to nod towards an ombre so chose some tone on tone papers from the collection (from red down to white with pink).
I had a trimmer incident which inspired me to add in lots of textured edges and then to go a step further with stitching!
Love this sketch and love the project I made. Looking forward to seeing what you create too.
Bruna - True North
I loved this sketch and it was perfect to use with the amazing colorful wood log paper from the True North collection.
I chose the embellishments to match the theme of my photo and also used an embossed wooden whale, a rudder and a wax seashell to add interest. The title was quite large, so I printed it and cut it out as 3 plaques to highlight it.
Kristin - Island Time
When I saw the sketch by Traci, I knew I wanted to use those gorgeous rainbow woodgrain papers in the Island Time collection. My home state had a pretty brutal winter with very cold temps and tons of snow, so I was craving a little warmth and I definitely got that from this collection! I chose a couple photographs of my younger son enjoying the beach. I adhered the woodgrain papers to plain white cardstock and I chose to curl up the papers to give a little more dimension. I ripped a little peekaboo area and had some more of the woodgrain paper peak out from underneath it. I added plenty of beach-themed embellishments and added a colorful yellow acrylic title to complete the layout. This layout was the perfect remedy for a case of the winter blues!
Becky - Tempest
As soon as I saw this sketch I knew I had the perfect photos and the perfect collection for it. Tempest is a former free gift from 2023 and now a $5 sampler and is the ideal collection for scrapping those not-so-perfect moments such as your daughter writing off two tyres on New Year’s Day and needing recovering home! I love this sketch and stuck to it adding lots of the snarky and bad word bits and pieces. I chose a coordinating ink to edge my white cardstock and also added the same colour as splatters before adding my strips of pattern paper to the cardstock. Some enamel dots and Nuvo drops along with some foam letters for my title which I coloured with the same ink finished my layout off nicely! If you’ve not done hybrid scrapping before one of these $5 samplers is a perfect way to dip your toe in the water!
Torey - Hygge Season
I had such a great time working with this sketch and challenging myself to use it in a way that still reflected my aesthetic as a memory keeper. I decided to use the Hygge Season collection because it’s a favorite of mine. Instead of pulling in lots of patterned papers, I chose one solid for the main background and just two patterns to alternate across the spread. This let the beauty of the sketch layout really shine while still keeping my pattern choices simple and I loved the final result! I finished off the page by using some Ellies and Stickers to build a few of the suggested element clusters and used this page to document a recent date night with my partner. ❤️
