App Scrapping: Using the Studio App to Create a “Right Now” 12x12 Page with Shayla
It’s that time of year again: when we traditionally take stock of where we are and where we would like to be. I’ve taken this “Right Now” prompt and have put my own spin on it.
Fitness health has been on my radar for a few years now. But the past couple of years I’ve changed my focus from specific goals to a general sense of wellbeing.
I’ve used the Strong AF collection to record a snapshot of the “Right Now” in my fitness health. Winter is often a slump time for me as our weather is too cold for outdoor running from November to April. Last year I ended up with a secondhand bike trainer that has been a game changer.
Traveler’s notebooks are an awesome way to record large amounts of journaling. The only issue is the album I’d like to put this layout in is a 12x12. So, I reimagined a double page traveller’s spread onto one 12x12.
Using GoDaddy Studio, I opened a new project and selected a patterned paper for my background. I added one more patterned paper to serve as a mat for my two TN sized pages.
Originally I was going to use two of the ready-made TN signatures but I ended up switching to a plain paper on the left side so that I could use one of the affirmation stickers for my title. The TN signature on right side has tons of space for all my journaling and room for some layering of embellishments too.
I added flowers and other cute workout gear as three main clusters on my page. At this point I also chose to add another patterned paper for a mat at an angle. Next up is my title and journaling.
I don’t take many photos when I’m working out, but this day I made sure to capture a glimpse at my current bike setup. Since I didn’t want the photo to be the focus of my layout, I made it small and tucked it under my title. Lastly, I added the scatters and splatters around my embellishment clusters.
My “Right Now” is a snapshot of my current fitness routines and my hopes and goals for the future. If you were to create a “Right Now” page what would your focus be? Try to keep it simple and don’t overwhelm yourself with creating future goals. Just take stock of where you are at right now, without comparing to your past or future self.
