Day 25 of October Daily and I wanted to do something a little different! I've been watching a lot of ink blending and stamping tutorials on Catherine’s YouTube so I decided to try out some ink blending myself! I
I also used the "Light Reading" stamp set I designed for Catherine, the stars go perfectly with the vibe!

I printed out these two photos a while back for this album and didn't know what story I wanted to tell. And then a few days later I was feeling a little sorry for myself that I didn't really get around to celebrating my favorite season/holiday with the kids very well this year.
Finn asked me if I was going to dress up for Halloween this year and I said "Probably not, I'm really tired."
To which he replied: "That's understandable, it's year 2 of a global (insert BIG P word here)."
I was taken aback by just how much pressure I was putting on myself this year when my kid was more understanding that I was being to myself.
I decided it was a story that needed to be told, so I combined the story with some of my October Mood collection, sequins from @spiegelmom_scraps that match perfectly (with the Hearth & Hollow collection too!) and kept it simple.

I rarely use filters like this on my photos anymore, the snapchat heyday is long over, but I couldn't resist a few fun ones for Halloween for my October Daily! I used an older line of mine that I designed digitally originally as "Ghouls Like You" and then transferred over to a paper line for Simple Stories and renamed "Happy Haunting!"
This is absolutely my favorite Halloween collection of all time and I hoard it like no one's business, so I decided to just plow right in and USE. IT!

Ahhhhhh the great Kangaroo costume of 2021. My middlest, hustler that he is, traded two BITES of SOMEONE ELSE'S birthday cake to a kid at school for this costume and it ended up being the centerpiece of the whole year with not only him, but Patrick and I wearing it as well 🤪
I went with my October Mood collection for this page, using that vibrant blue as a centerpiece and as a way to "cool down" the layout a bit because the colors of the photos were so warm.
I created a pocket to put my journaling card and a letter board from the collection into and went from there!

My last 3 stories are all Halloween night, so I tackled them all together, creating a cut file from one of the pumpkin illustrations in the October Mood collection as a the centerpiece/divider!

I had a ton of fun embellishing these pages with stickers from the collection and I’m so glad to be done!
