Hello and welcome to the forty-third edition of our fun series: Mix It Up Monday! We love to show you how easy it is to mix and match TRD collections to create something new and wonderful!
Today we’re matching up two bright and sunny collections: Brighter Days and Flower Child that have similar-but-different vibes and palettes for a fun and happy mix of the two to create beautiful pages and the team has, of course, outdone themselves again!

Today for MIUM we are pairing the new Brighter Days and Flower Child collections. These two collections are adorable together. The color tones of each collection coordinate together so well. For my layout I pulled the orange, yellow and blue tones from the two collections to create my page. I love how seamlessly the pattern papers and embellishments pulled together to make a fun summer layout.

This week is a big one in our house. My son will be stepping onto the stage as the Tin Man in a production of The Wizard of Oz, and we could not be more proud of him!!
The bright colors and playful elements from both the Flower Child and the Story Foundations: Brighter Days kits along with Template #773 by Lynnette Penacho from Simple Scrapper felt like the perfect match for a page about the Wizard of Oz! The rainbow on the template mixed with the embellishments from the Flower Child & Brighter Days kits naturally led me to the title, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow, You Are Magic,” which captures exactly how proud I am of him and how magical it feels to watch him shine on stage!

For Mix it up Monday, I made a spread for TN using beautiful rainbow papers from the Flower Child collection. I turned a TN signature paper into a card and used it as the title, and the elements are from Brighter Days. I thought it turned out cheerful, and I loved the Nuvo drops touch on the rainbow!

For this product combo (Flower Child and Brighter Days) I just couldn’t help but make TWO projects — and they both have such different vibes! I knew I wanted to use the rainbow “sunburst” paper, because it just makes me happy! Wanting to put it someplace I would see it a lot, I made a new “cover” for my kindle insert — and I got to use the denim pocket from Flower Child! (That’s probably one of my all time fave elements!). Combining the flowers and the rainbows just made me happy.
For my pocket page, I wanted to document my son’s recent “swim banquet” so I used a lot of the light blue pages — both kits had a ton! Flower Child even had one that looked like bubbles, so I added that to my background. I loved the encouraging “stickers” from Flower Child, so I made sure to put those on the page celebrating my son! (And of course, I had to add rainbows and hearts from both kits for pops of color! I loved that “sunshine” was a running theme, because I call him my sunshine!)
