Mix It Up Monday: Happy Day + Filled With Intention

Hello and welcome to the third edition of our fun series: Mix It Up Monday! This week we are combining two goal-accomplishing, celebratory collections: Filled With Intention and Happy Day! With similar color palettes AND themes, combining the two was a breeze and I personally love how almost all the layouts on this post ended up celebrating our own accomplishments!

Check out the examples below to see how well these two collections go together with tips on combining them!

Lately, I’ve been taking my physical health a little more seriously than I did the las year or so, focusing back in on me and what makes me feel my best! When I started this page, I knew I wanted to play with circles on the page, so I created a cut file that you can download HERE if you want to play too!

As I played with the page, I knew I wanted to use the sparkly solids included in the Happy{Birth} Day collection to back my circles and then incorporate the florals and word bits from Filled With Intention. As the page evolved, it turned into a gorgeous wreath and I added in the florals from Happy Day to round it out! I love that the kits mix and match so well both in color and style as well as theme!

For the mix it up I focused on the rainbow aspect and florals of both of the collections. I knew that I wanted a heavily colorful page, and the way the two combined perfectly to give a full range of bright colors and flowers that just blended so well was perfect for it.

I love it how easy these 2 collection combine. The yellow paper from Filled With Intention matches perfect with the green paper fromHappy Day. And I mixed up some embelishments from both collections. Working with a digital kit in a hybrid way gives you so much possibilities. It makes mixing and matching so easy. I pre-plan my page and select my papers and embellishments. And every now and then If I can't find something in a collection I look for it in a different collection.

I had such a fun time combining these two kits! The colors go perfectly together, and they are both so FUN, but in totally different ways. I wanted to focus on the elements in the Filled with Intention kit, because the Happy Day elements didn't fit my picture as well So I limited myself to ONLY using the papers in the Happy Day kit, and ONLY using the elements from the Filled With Intention kit. I think they go together SO well, and I love how cohesive the layout looks-- it just feels fun!
