Hybrid Hijinks With Sara: Layers & Clusters

Hello Everyone! Sara with you today for Hybrid Hijinks! Today we are focusing on layers and clusters! When you are creating with hybrid elements, they are mostly paper. Which means, foam adhesive, twine, and creating dimension with layered die cuts are your new best friend!

Let’s start with the bottom left cluster. I used this area as my journaling and added interest and dimension with hemp cord and foam adhesive. Layering up the elements is easy, just remember this anagram - Let’s Make Some Clusters.

L- start with your larger elements and have them interact with each other

M-Next, grab some medium elements, in this case, my journaling box and flower.

S- Small elements come next, adding some little details..like the vase.

C- Confetti- these are the last little details/ things you want to pop up on foam adhesive!

To add a pop to my title, I used metal dies to cut my title 4 times, once in a solid pattern from the TN papers and three more times from white card stock. Layer them all up and you have beautiful dimensional letters for your title.

I hope these tips and tricks will help you on your hybrid journey!

Have A Lovely Day!
