I really love to go big on a layout every once in a while. I grabbed the Summer Camp collection, especially the Alpha jumped out to me. So I used it for a big title in the middle of the page with selective colors. Adding another word or title on top gives it extra depth and I like how the brad alpha looks like the dot on the “I” of the main title below.
Scattering some photos around the page guides the eye. I created a small cluster on each of the photos as well. The pictures I picked were taken at night at a campfire, so I lifted all ellies that drove this theme home.
This trick is perfect for an album cover, but works just as well on a single layout or regular pag in an album.

Capturing this memory on a page is a way for me to hold onto the peacefulness and adventure of our night float down the river. I wanted to preserve not just the photos, but the feeling of watching daylight fade into moonlight as we floated along. I love kayaking and this kit was the perfect compliment to our moonlit adventure.

For this Sweet Steals project, I worked with the Summer Camp collection to document a 2015 road trip Steve and Andrew took through Wyoming and South Dakota.
I loved the mix of outdoorsy patterns and colors in this collection, and used several of the papers in vertical strips to build the page around three photos from their trip. I added a few of the outdoor-themed embellishments, some hand stitching, and journaling about the different stops they made along the way.
The collection was such a natural fit for these photos and made it easy to pull together a page that feels colorful, outdoorsy, and still focused on their story.

I had such fun making this tag book of summer camp with my girlyguides! I printed the papers two to an A4 sheet and then cut the tags from there on my Cricut, after that it was just matching the lovely embellishments to the photos and tags.I have soo many more photos I might make another set and glue them back to back. I decorated the book ring with some more of the printable embellishments and some colour matched ribbons.
This was such a fun set to work with I could have made many more projects. I would definitely recommend it!

Some photos may sit in a box for years (or our gallery) before they finally find their place in a scrapbook, and this is one of them.
This layout features a photo from our PE camping class back in 2006, about 20 years ago, long before I ever discovered scrapbooking. I can’t remember where this camping trip was or many of the details from that day, but this photo has always made me smile for a completely different reason.
Back then, the two noisiest classmates in our class were probably the last people I imagined would become such an important part of my life. Fast forward to today, and one is now my husband while the other stood beside us in 2015, as our best man on our wedding day. Funny how life has a way of writing the best stories.
That memory alone made this photo worthy of a scrapbook page.
For this layout, I used the Summer Camp Collection, which was the perfect match for preserving this outdoor adventure and the story behind it. There are times that the most meaningful pages aren’t about remembering every detail, they’re about capturing the moments that unexpectedly shaped your life.
Don't let the name fool you, there's nothing "camping" about this collection, so if you're like me and HATE to camp, you'll be fine!
Instead, Summer Camp refers to that certain nostalgia you feel for summers as a kid - maybe you were lucky enough to go to camp, maybe you weren't, but I think we all feel that certain vibe when we look back.
