Focus On: Felicity

Can you feel Springtime coming? I can! Felicity is the embodiment of the joy at the first signs of spring, and an ode to joy and happiness any time of year!

Felicity is the perfect collection for March as well, with its beautiful preppy color palette featuring Kelly green and pops of salmon and navy!

Felicity is 50% off for the next 2 days, so pick it up and add a little bit of happy to your pages!

The journaling cards in the Felicity collection are perfect for card making and I really wanted to accentuate the ovals on these two.

I started on the 1st by die cutting the sentiment from the background along with an oval slightly bigger. I created a shaker with the background on the inside along with 3 of the hearts from the label sheet in the sticker pack. I glued my sentiment oval to the outside of the shaker along with flowers from the sticker pack.

For my next card, I stitched around the oval, around the border, and around one of the tags. also from the sticker pack. I bumped the tag up onto some craft foam and stapled a ribbon through the hole. Again, I added flowers to the corners along with rhinestones and flat back pearls to add some sparkle.

I loved the colors in the Felicity collection and it went perfectly with my botanic garden photos.

When I do a page with smaller pictures  - I like to pair it with a page of larger photos on the opposite hand so that I can highlight my favorites! The TN signatures have great sentiments as well as the journal cards to document any story.

The Felicity collection has always been one of my favorite collections. I love the colors and versatility of this collection; it can be used to scrapbook just about any theme. For this layout, I wanted to play with the multicolored patterns and layer them up. To add even more interest, I pulled in some of the blue embellishments to make my embellishment clusters pop. I think the overall layout is fun and colorful which was perfect to document this everyday story about my son.

It’s funny how sometimes you just gravitate towards a collection which is what I did with Felicity this week! I wasn’t down to join in with this blog post but wanted to scrap this photo and my immediate thought was Felicity as it resonated so much! I was originally going to have three groups of embellishments and then had a Nuvo Drop disaster (don’t squeeze that bottle really hard - the cap pops off!) and needed to add a fourth to cover up some blue smears! However I think it turned out ok and the odd blue smear that is left you can hardly see! Felicity is such a pretty collection to work with and I love the butterflies from the digital collection so used a lot of them!

This kit is perfect for most spring layouts. I chose to use this for an Easter photo that I captured showing the kids in our family who are actually no longer young kids. I kept the layout simple so the focus is on the photo. I also chose to make the photo black and white so the colors don’t clash with the kit colors.
