Traci’s Bookish collection is one of my all time favorites! I have made several fun projects - but this time I really wanted to document some of my reads from 2025. I love how the journaling cards and elements are a perfect way to tell my“story” about reading stories!! Also the Reading Journal that Traci has as part of the collection is super easy to put together too - I will be making one for myself for my 2026 reading goals!

The Bookish collection is the perfect collection for book lovers everywhere! I chose to create a layout of my own little book-lover using the collection. I started off by using the blue and white striped paper with the florals in the corners from the collection as my base paper. I adored the paper with all of the bookshelves, so I cut the paper into 3 strips and layered them behind the photo and clusters to create more dimension and interest to the page. I then added book-related pieces to each of the two clusters on opposite corners of the photo, using florals to add additional texture to the clusters. I added additional floral stickers to the corner clusters of the background paper to create a 3D effect and scattered a few hearts to complete the layout.

This page was inspired by a module in Ali Edwards’s Start Here class about using repeated shapes. I love these cute library index card shapes in the Bookish Kit for both journaling and a place to drop photos. These pictures of my kids, pets & I hanging out in our cocoon on the deck are not the greatest pictures, so they don’t need to be BIG, but they show the lazy mornings on the deck that we love so much! This grid layout with the repeated shapes is perfect for pulling all these pictures together on a page.

Here’s a little a fun project I made using Traci Reed’s Bookish collection - a mini Reading Journal that’s part journal, part scrapbook, and completely me.
I originally planned to bind this with my Mini Cinch, but once I started working with the collection, I knew it needed more flexibility. The pages of the collection are so interactive and cute that I know I’ll want to keep adding to this journal. That’s why I switched to disc binding, which lets me easily insert new pages anytime. Plus a bonus: I can simply swap out the monthly pages and continue using this journal next year!
Because I’m a memory keeper at heart, this isn’t just a reading log, it’s a little scrapbook reading journal. I’ve already added two photos: one from a quaint bookstore in Jordan and another from the Ithra Library here in Saudi Arabia. More #shelfies are definitely coming!
I also included two small envelopes in this project. One holds extra embellishments for future photo updates, and the other stores magnetic bookmarks I made using leftover scraps from the project. You honestly never know when you’ll need a bookmark!
And yes… this journal is absolutely meant to motivate me to read more this year. So far, I’ve already finished two books, mostly so I’d have something to update in here already. Haha!
This project was so fun to make, and I love that it can grow with me as my reading (hopefully!) continues.

The Bookish collection was perfect for documenting how I read a couple of books from my least-read genre this month! I used so many different elements from this collection (journaling cards, ellies, stickers, and paper) and had a blast putting together a spread that’s a little more chaotic than my usual style. All the fun, reading-related elements made it so easy to layer and experiment. It felt especially fitting since chaotic spreads are also outside of my comfort zone… just like the non-fiction genre!
